CIIC|Green Industrial Chain Industry-Education Integration Roundtable Held

On the afternoon of May 28, the “Industry-Education Integration and International Collaboration Against the Backdrop of Green Industrial Chains” roundtable of the 2026 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation (CIIC) was successfully held in Singapore. The event was hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), and co-hosted by Jinan University and the Nanyang Institute of Social Sciences.

Under the theme of “Building a Future-Oriented Talent and Innovation Ecosystem for Emerging Industries,” the roundtable featured remarks by Han Jun, Minister-Counsellor for Education at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore; Kho Choon Keng, President of SCCCI; Liu Chun, President of CCCME; and Gu Naihua, Vice President of Jinan University. More than 70 representatives from government, industry, academia and research institutions gathered to discuss new pathways for talent cultivation amid the green transition. The meeting was moderated by Yu Ting, Executive Provost of the Nanyang Institute of Social Sciences.

During the keynote speech session, Luo Jibin, Associate Vice President of the National University of Singapore; Zhao Zhongxiu, President of the University of International Business and Economics; and Li Wenjing, Dean of the School of Management at Jinan University, shared innovative practices from the perspective of higher education institutions, focusing on international collaboration in industry-education integration and the cultivation of future-ready talent.

The panel discussion was moderated by Qi Jun, Vice Dean of the School of Management at Jinan University. Xing Xiaoqiang, Dean of the International Business School at the University of International Business and Economics; Zhu Feida, Associate Dean of the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University; Li Qinfeng, Chief Technology Officer of Wuzhou Hanfeng Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.; and Huang Yanxiang, President of Shanghai Carbon Newture Technology Co., Ltd., exchanged insights from the perspectives of universities and enterprises on new models, exploratory practices and practical experience in cultivating international cooperation talent for the green transition.

The roundtable generated active discussions and strong responses. The event established an efficient platform for cooperation and laid a solid foundation for advancing deeper international integration of industry and education.
