In line with the new trends of green and regional development, this year’s conference delivered a series of practical outcomes witnessed by the attending guests. As one of the key outcomes of the conference, the Green Trade Public Service Platform was officially launched for the international market.

Led by the People’s Government of Baoshan District, Shanghai, with technical and implementation support provided by Carbon Newture, the platform focuses on the green overseas expansion needs of foreign trade enterprises. It aims to build a public service platform integrating carbon data services, green certification, policy compliance and international cooperation. To date, the platform has disclosed carbon footprint data for more than 500 products, served over 40 key enterprises, accumulated more than 80 million tonnes of product carbon emissions data, and completed the management and disclosure of organizational carbon emissions data on a scale of 3 million tonnes.
Positioned to “be rooted in Shanghai, serve the Yangtze River Delta, radiate across China and connect with the world”, the platform focuses on core scenarios such as product carbon footprint, organizational carbon management, supply chain collaboration and green trade compliance. It provides export enterprises with services including interpretation of domestic and international carbon policies, carbon compliance consulting, carbon footprint accounting, carbon data management, report disclosure and green certification coordination. These services help enterprises reduce the compliance costs of international green trade and enhance the credibility and competitiveness of their products in global markets.
This launch marks a further transition of the green trade service system from a regional platform to an international cooperation platform. Looking ahead, leveraging Singapore’s advantages as a global trade and supply chain hub, the platform will focus on advancing the development of China-Singapore green trade cooperation mechanisms. In areas such as product carbon footprint, green certification and digital product passports, it will explore cross-border carbon data standard coordination, as well as mutual recognition mechanisms for accounting results and green certifications, helping enterprises transform their green compliance capabilities into international trade access capabilities.
