Carbon Newture and BXN Jointly Launch the “BXN Digital Carbon Management Platform”

On June 10, the opening day of the 2026 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo, the textile and apparel industry witnessed a major milestone in the convergence of sustainability and digital transformation. BXN, one of China's leading apparel groups, joined hands with Carbon Newture, a specialist in digital low-carbon transformation solutions, to officially launch the BXN Digital Carbon Management Platform.

The launch represents an important step forward in BXN’s implementation of China’s Dual Carbon strategy and its commitment to high-quality green development. It also offers a highly replicable benchmark for the textile and apparel industry in utilizing advanced digital technologies to upgrade energy and carbon management capabilities.

Today, green and low-carbon transformation has become a defining trend in global industrial development. As international sustainability regulations and green trade requirements—including the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Digital Product Passport (DPP)—continue to evolve, and as China accelerates the implementation of its Dual Carbon strategy, textile and apparel companies are facing increasing emissions reduction requirements and compliance expectations. Carbon management capabilities are rapidly becoming a prerequisite for market competitiveness and international expansion.

The textile and apparel industry is characterized by complex supply chains and numerous production stages, with carbon emissions data dispersed across multiple entities and operational processes. Traditional management approaches are increasingly unable to meet growing demands for refined carbon management. Against this backdrop, digital carbon management platforms are emerging as critical infrastructure for the industry's low-carbon transition.

BXN has long adhered to a development philosophy centered on quality, stability, and sustainability. Guided by green and low-carbon development, the company has continuously advanced a range of sustainability initiatives, including participation in the CDP Climate Change Program and achieving a B rating, setting Science Based Targets (SBTi), completing full value-chain greenhouse gas inventories, contributing to the development of industry standards, and receiving honors such as the 2026 “Top 100 Brands Leadership Enterprise of the Year” award.

The deployment of a digital carbon management platform represents another proactive step by BXN to strengthen its carbon data foundation and prepare for the industry's green transformation.

Integrating Green and Digital Transformation

As a key outcome of the partnership, the BXN Digital Carbon Management Platform was jointly developed by BXN and Carbon Newture. The platform establishes a multi-level carbon management system spanning products, organizational operations, and suppliers, while integrating core capabilities including carbon data collection, accounting, management, disclosure, and carbon asset operations.

Digital Carbon Management Cockpit

At the heart of the platform is a comprehensive carbon management dashboard that enables visualized, granular, and dynamic management of carbon emissions.

By consolidating key indicators such as total annual carbon emissions, total energy consumption, carbon intensity, and the share of renewable energy, the platform helps the company understand its emissions profile, identify high-emission hotspots, and establish a carbon management closed loop centered on product carbon footprints.

This enables carbon data throughout the value chain—from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to downstream distribution—to become traceable, measurable, and manageable.

Currently, the Saint Angelo brand under BXN has already used the platform to complete a full life-cycle carbon footprint assessment for one of its core sports suit products.

The platform is also integrated with third-party verification processes, helping the product obtain independent assurance and certification. In addition, Saint Angelo has disclosed the product’s carbon footprint information through the Green Trade Public Service Platform, enabling consumers to better understand its low-carbon attributes and environmental value.

Peipei Wu, Deputy General Manager of BXN

Peipei Wu noted that as the textile and apparel industry accelerates its green and low-carbon transition, companies require more systematic, precise, and sustainable carbon management capabilities.

The launch of the BXN Digital Carbon Management Platform marks an important step in strengthening the company’s carbon management framework and enhancing its green supply chain management capabilities.

Looking ahead, BXN will leverage the platform to more efficiently connect the entire value chain—from product development and raw material procurement to manufacturing, supply chain management, and sustainability communications—thereby reinforcing the data foundation that supports its long-term green competitiveness and providing valuable reference cases for the industry's digital carbon management transformation.

Arthur Huang, CEO of Carbon Newture

Arthur Huang stated that the textile and apparel industry's low-carbon transition is rapidly entering a phase of more refined and data-driven management, with digital platforms becoming a critical enabler of corporate decarbonization capabilities.

For brand owners, carbon data are not only the foundation for accounting, certification, and disclosure, but also a strategic asset for driving product innovation, supply chain collaboration, and the creation of sustainable value.

Through its AI Native digital carbon management platform, Carbon Newture aims to help BXN establish an integrated digital system covering product and organizational carbon management, supply chain emissions reduction, and ESG performance enhancement. At the same time, the project provides a scalable and replicable digital carbon management model for the broader textile and apparel industry.

Conclusion

The launch of the BXN Digital Carbon Management Platform marks a new phase in the partnership between BXN and Carbon Newture, moving from individual sustainability initiatives toward the co-development of systematic low-carbon capabilities.

At a pivotal moment when global sustainability regulations are reshaping industrial competitiveness, Carbon Newture and BXN will continue working together to expand the application of digital energy and carbon management solutions, strengthen long-term green competitiveness, and provide practical and verifiable digital carbon management approaches to help the textile and apparel industry address the challenges of climate change.
