In agricultural carbon reduction scenarios, Bayer Crop Science is exploring the development of sustainable supply chains that connect smallholder farmers with downstream enterprises by promoting five designated pilot crops for carbon emissions reduction: wheat, rice, potatoes, coffee, and green tea. Data show that, compared with local practices, crop lifecycle carbon emissions under Bayer’s solutions have decreased to varying degrees, providing quantifiable practical references for carbon reduction and efficiency improvement in agricultural production.
