Abstract

This document specifies the requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the process carbon footprint of bio-based plastics (see ISO/CD 22526-1). As part of the standards related to the carbon footprint of bio-based plastic products, this document is developed based on the requirements of ISO 14067 and life cycle assessment standards (ISO 14040 and GB/T 24044).

This document applies to the process carbon footprint of plastic materials (P-CFP). It provides the requirements and guidelines for the quantification of partial product carbon footprint (partial CFP). In accordance with ISO 14067, the process carbon footprint specified under the defined conditions in this document is considered part of the material carbon footprint.

This document specifies the calculation procedures and reporting contents for P-CFP to ensure transparency and credibility of the report.

This document does not apply in cases involving offsetting.
