This document provides product category rules for quantifying the greenhouse gas (GHG) carbon footprint of liquid-immersed and dry-type power transformers with a voltage rating of up to 10 kV. It includes requirements and guidelines for the system boundaries, life cycle stages, data collection, and information exchange of the products.

This document is applicable to the carbon footprint accounting and communication of liquid-immersed and dry-type power transformers with a voltage rating of up to 10 kV (capacity less than or equal to 2500 kVA).

This document addresses only a single impact category, namely climate change, and does not assess other environmental potential impacts generated throughout the product life cycle, nor does it evaluate the social and economic impacts that may arise from the product life cycle.
