This document provides the basic principles, scope, data acquisition methods, calculation methods, and reporting content for calculating the carbon footprint of recycled plastic products. It is applicable to the calculation of the carbon footprint of recycled plastic flakes or granules produced from discarded thermoplastic plastics through processes such as pre-treatment and physical recycling. The main plastic types considered are recycled polyethylene (R-PE), recycled polypropylene (R-PP), and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), while other plastic types can be referenced. This document does not apply to plastics derived from hazardous waste such as medical waste, pesticide packaging, or radioactive waste.
