Zence’s two core products—Zence Tea Panels and Zence Bio-Plastic Pellets—are categorized as bio-based materials. They reduce dependency on fossil resources and lower carbon emissions at the raw material stage, while also offering excellent biocompatibility, degradability, and renewability. These green technologies have been applied in numerous settings, including custom store designs for Starbucks using tea-based eco-panels.

The global market for bio-based and biocomposite materials is in a rapid growth phase. By 2025, the biodegradable materials market is expected to exceed USD 80 billion globally, with China accounting for nearly 40%. Over the next five years, the market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 35%.

Policy developments such as China’s Three-Year Action Plan on Non-Grain Bio-Based Material Innovation, and European regulations like ESPR, the policy framework on bio-based/biodegradable/compostable plastics, and the PPWR have opened new market opportunities for biodegradable materials like Zence’s tea panels and pellets.

Currently, four of Zence’s products have their carbon data disclosed on the China Light Industry Crafts Carbon Disclosure Platform, offering transparent carbon footprint, certification, and compliance information to consumers.

For B2B clients, Zence displays real-time carbon emission data directly on panels or pellets, and provides downloadable carbon footprint certificates. This offers practical solutions to help brands and supply chain leaders meet Scope 3 emission reduction goals, while also engaging end consumers in green practices.

03. The “ZENCE Ecosystem” empowering the industry

Zence has built the ZENCE Ecosystem, an industrial platform that integrates the reuse of agricultural waste, green material transformation, and downstream application. Through its proprietary “Three-in-One Bio-Tech” and high-efficiency biodegradation systems, Zence achieves over 90% decomposition of organic agricultural waste within 24 hours, with the remainder converted into renewable green materials.
