Recently, EcoVadis, an internationally recognized sustainability assessment organization, announced its 2026 rating results. GCSTIMES once again received the EcoVadis Silver Rating, ranking among the top 15% of assessed companies in its industry. Carbon Newture provided professional support for this EcoVadis rating submission.

Building on its EcoVadis Silver Rating in 2025, GCSTIMES continued to improve its ESG performance this year. Its scores increased across three dimensions: Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, while its Environmental performance also made steady progress.
Receiving the EcoVadis Silver Rating for another consecutive year not only reflects the further improvement of GCSTIMES’ sustainability management system, but also validates the long-term effectiveness of its practices in environmentally friendly material R&D, product lifecycle management, and low-carbon product innovation.
EcoVadis is a globally leading corporate sustainability rating organization. Its assessment framework covers four key dimensions: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Based on the percentile ranking of companies assessed worldwide, EcoVadis awards four medal levels: Platinum, for the top 1%; Gold, for the top 5%; Silver, for the top 15%; and Bronze, for the top 35%. Currently, the EcoVadis assessment system covers 185 countries and more than 250 purchasing categories, and has provided sustainability ratings for over 150,000 companies worldwide. It is widely recognized as an authoritative standard in international supply chain sustainability management.
Improving ESG Management to Strengthen the Foundation for Sustainable Development
Since its establishment in 2011, GCSTIMES has been committed to integrating material innovation with smart technology, providing advanced sustainable products and solutions for the global hotel and related industries. Its business covers eco-friendly smart chip cards, smart door locks, cultural and creative products, and customized design services. The company has gradually built a product and service system centered on low-carbon material application, smart solutions, and transparent product environmental information.

Benchmarking against the four EcoVadis assessment dimensions, GCSTIMES has continued to improve its management mechanisms and business processes around key sustainability topics, including green product R&D, low-carbon operations, employee rights protection, compliance management, and supply chain collaboration. The company has also continuously optimized its practical pathways in line with its actual development needs. This systematic approach has provided strong support for GCSTIMES’ continued progress in environmentally friendly material application, product lifecycle management, low-carbon operations, and responsible procurement.
From Low-Carbon Operations to Product Innovation: Building Full-Chain Green Practices
The hotel industry is a significant source of global carbon emissions, accounting for approximately 1% of total global carbon emissions. Against the backdrop of continued industry expansion and accelerated green transformation, full value chain decarbonization has become a shared development direction for the hotel sector. Centered on low-carbon material application, smart technology, and transparent product environmental information, GCSTIMES integrates sustainability into every stage, from material selection and product design to customer application.
At the product level, GCSTIMES advances green transformation across raw materials, production, packaging, and transportation:
Raw materials: GCSTIMES continues to develop and apply innovative environmentally friendly, renewable, and degradable materials, including wood, corn starch, and plant-based leather, reducing product carbon footprints from the source.
Production: The company strictly follows quality control and environmental emission standards, while reducing environmental impacts through production line optimization and the use of clean energy.
Packaging: GCSTIMES replaces traditional plastic packaging with recyclable paper-based materials, further reducing the consumption of single-use materials.
Transportation: The company optimizes transportation routes and loading efficiency, prioritizes low-carbon logistics partners, and introduces low-carbon transportation solutions such as sustainable aviation fuel, or SAF.
To date, GCSTIMES has launched the world’s first hotel key card certified for product carbon neutrality under ISO 14068, China’s first hotel room amenity set certified as carbon neutral, and a series of derivative products such as carbon-neutral wooden refrigerator magnets. Through green products with complete carbon footprint data and third-party carbon neutrality certification, GCSTIMES not only helps downstream customers reduce plastic use and lower Scope 3 emissions, but also provides a tangible carrier for hotels to communicate sustainable brand value.

At the operational level, GCSTIMES has completed its corporate carbon inventory, with the accounting boundary covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and has obtained a greenhouse gas emissions verification statement.

GCSTIMES also created the world’s largest hotel key card wall, which was certified by Guinness World Records.
At the same time, the hotel industry’s green transformation is extending from individual operational scenarios to the broader supply chain procurement system. Five major international hotel groups, namely Accor, Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and Radisson, together with two hospitality procurement organizations, Avendra and Entegra, jointly launched the Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement, or HARP, with EcoVadis. Through EcoVadis rating scorecards and tools, HARP assesses, tracks, and enhances the capabilities of global hotel suppliers in areas such as environment, human rights, and ethical practices. Currently, the HARP assessment network covers hotel suppliers across 31 countries and 91 purchasing categories.
In response to this green industry trend, GCSTIMES has established a supplier ESG access mechanism. Through supplier codes of conduct, contractual clauses, procurement staff training, and supplier audits, the company extends environmental and social responsibility requirements upstream, continuously enhancing the standardization and transparency of its supply chain management. This EcoVadis rating further validates the effectiveness of GCSTIMES’ sustainability management and provides a more credible endorsement for the company in serving the sustainable procurement needs of international hotel customers.
Looking ahead, GCSTIMES will further deepen the integration of material innovation and smart technology, and continue to invest in green products, low-carbon operations, supply chain collaboration, and transparent product environmental information. With comprehensive and verifiable product carbon data, certification support, and systematic solutions, the company will work with customers across the global hotel and related industries to advance green transformation and become a trusted sustainability partner.
