Sycoretec CAS Company Limited

Recently, with the professional support of Carbon Newture, Sycoretec CAS Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Sycoretec”) completed a product carbon footprint assessment for its core product, SYCORE-TEX, and successfully obtained a carbon neutrality certificate issued by the globally renowned third-party certification body SGS.

SYCORE-TEX is an ultra-thin, lightweight thermal-regulating insulation material independently developed by Sycoretec. Through technological innovation, it has broken the traditional perception that “thicker means warmer,” and is now widely applicable not only in textiles and apparel, but also in outdoor equipment, building insulation, automotive interiors and other diversified scenarios.

On this occasion, we interviewed Ms. Duan Yujing, Founder of Sycoretec. Wearing a lightweight trench coat made with SYCORE-TEX, she vividly demonstrated the material’s unique thin and light texture to the camera, while providing in-depth insights into its technological fundamentals, low-carbon application potential, and the company’s sustainability philosophy.

The newly obtained product carbon neutrality certification serves as the best endorsement of this vision: warmth can be achieved not only with extreme lightness, but also in a lower-carbon way that reduces the burden on the climate and the environment.

01 Pushing the Limits of Lightweight Warmth through Material Innovation and Setting a Low-Carbon Benchmark

Sycoretec is a national high-tech enterprise integrating scientific research commercialization, thermal management material R&D, and industrial application. The company focuses on cutting-edge fields such as phase-change energy-storage materials and temperature-regulating functional textiles. Its R&D team comprises experts from China’s “Thousand Talents Program” and renowned materials scientists from home and abroad. Leveraging the fundamental research achievements of institutes such as the Institute of Chemistry and the Institute of Materials Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sycoretec has established a collaborative innovation system spanning “basic research – technology development – industrial application,” continuously breaking through key technical bottlenecks in polymer and functional materials.

At present, the company’s technological innovation and industrialization capability in ultra-thin thermal-regulating insulation materials are at the forefront both domestically and internationally, providing systematic thermal management solutions for industries including textiles and apparel, cold-chain logistics, building insulation, outdoor sports and special equipment.

The carbon-neutral product, SYCORE-TEX, is Sycoretec’s flagship material. It is the first in the world to achieve the combination of lightweight structure and ultra-low thermal conductivity, overcoming the long-standing technical contradiction between “thinness” and “high insulation performance,” and effectively addressing industry pain points such as bulkiness and performance degradation under humid conditions. The third-generation SYCORE-TEX material—Topological Flexible Gel—can achieve thermal insulation performance equivalent to 5–10 mm of traditional insulation materials with a thickness of only 1–2 mm.

SYCORE-TEX is formed by compounding multi-phase, multi-component polymers and functional powders into a three-dimensional, multi-layer porous topological network, combined with advanced textile manufacturing processes to create an ultra-thin fabric. It features ultra-low thermal conductivity, exceptional softness and elasticity, wind resistance, lightweight drape, and good breathability. By concentrating thermal management within the micro-environment between the human body and clothing, it enhances wearing comfort while providing a solid material foundation for energy efficiency and emission reduction.

While pursuing ultimate performance, Sycoretec has also deeply embedded green and low-carbon principles into the entire process of product design and manufacturing. With the support of Carbon Newture, the company completed a “cradle-to-gate” carbon footprint assessment for SYCORE-TEX, implemented multiple emission-reduction measures, and ultimately achieved product carbon neutrality, verified by SGS.

It is worth emphasizing that carbon neutrality certification is not the end point, but rather the starting point of SYCORE-TEX’s green journey. As the material is applied across a wider range of scenarios, its combined advantages of “high technology + low carbon” will continue to generate value, supporting more efficient energy saving and emission reduction across industries.

02 A “Carbon-Neutral” Material Empowering Green Transformation Across Industries

Leveraging its two core strengths—lightweight structure and high-efficiency thermal insulation—SYCORE-TEX has expanded from textiles and apparel into a broad array of application fields, including outdoor equipment, home furnishings, cold-chain logistics, building materials and automotive interiors. While enhancing end-user experience, the material also demonstrates the deeper role of advanced materials in enabling energy conservation and carbon reduction.

🟠 In the building sector, SYCORE-TEX can be applied in energy-efficient insulation panels, effectively reducing heat transfer between indoor and outdoor environments, lowering heating demand in winter and cooling demand in summer, and thus cutting operational carbon emissions.

🟠 In automotive interiors, SYCORE-TEX-based products combine durability, environmental performance and refined tactile quality. Their lightweight and thermal-insulation characteristics align with the industry’s trend toward weight reduction, energy efficiency and low-carbon upgrading, creating a “dual carbon-reduction” effect through synergy between materials and vehicle applications.

Sycoretec is now accelerating the large-scale deployment of SYCORE-TEX across multiple scenarios and has established strategic partnerships with listed companies, large state-owned enterprises and Fortune Global 500 corporations, covering new product development and international market expansion. By building a stable supply chain and technical service system, the company aims to help partners achieve clear green differentiation, enhance product value, and increase market share through the superior performance and low-carbon attributes of SYCORE-TEX.

As global carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategies advance, green competitiveness is shifting upstream from end products to materials. “Low carbon” has become a key indicator of technological competitiveness and a critical threshold for entry into the supply chains of leading enterprises worldwide.

By embedding sustainability throughout R&D, manufacturing and application, and by achieving carbon neutrality for its core product SYCORE-TEX, Sycoretec is providing downstream industries with higher-performance, lower-carbon material solutions—redefining the “weight of warmth” and contributing, through material innovation, to a more sustainable future.
